Aluminum Foil Lids
This is a very high tech business. Soft aluminum foil thickness varies from 0.020 / 0.060 mm which has to pass through a number of coatings and printing and again punching to odd shapes on special high speed presses. At no stage direct finger contact on the foil is permitted. Most production runs involve multi color printing with special printing inks & coatings acceptable for direct food contact. These are very stringent specifications strictly to be followed. It is for these reasons there are very few high quality foil lids production plants in the world today. | High-Tech Foil This is one of the toughest job we encountered and developed successfully. Aluminum foil could not be used since the metal reacted with the cream ingredients. We developed ultimately a plastic laminate foil after many trials and failures over 8 months. The major problem was to maintain this thin foil flat for destacking without any curling. Another major problem was developing a special heat seal lacquer which could seal the container having sealing edge only 1.1 mm wide and that too at low temperature on an automatic machine.
There were other three major specifications we had to comply but ultimately we succeeded and millions of this lid have been supplied. Our strength lies in our technological base and in depth understanding of this specialized business.
