Soft aluminum foil thickness varies from 0.020 / 0.060 mm which has to pass through a number of coatings and printing and again punching to odd shapes on special high speed presses. At no stage direct finger contact on the foil is permitted. Most production runs involve multi color printing with special printing inks & coatings acceptable for direct food contact. These are very stringent specifications strictly to be followed. It is for these reasons there are very few high quality foil lids production plants in the world today. There are certain food products need to to be packed in thick molded cups while some products are preferred to be packed in thin thermoformed cups due to economical and other considerations. We have a very good molding facility ( albeit with limited capacity at the moment -but is being expanded soon ) and a good capacity thermoforming facility at our associate's plant.
